FTD Greeting Cards:
The greeting card is the item most often used to mark a celebration. Everyone know that the greeting card usually accompanies gifts flowers
teddy bears and other gifts.
permits you to share your feelings to loved ones. Whether for a birthday Christmas
Valentine’s Day or simply to say thank you
the greeting card is ideal for any occasion.
There are now several types of greeting cards
we have good old paper greeting cards
that can be found in any good pharmacy, supermarket and at Rita’s Florist WFN
and MegFlowers.com. But in recent years, there are also virtual greeting cards
that can be sent via email to anywhere in the world.
The first greeting card was created in 1843 in England to send Christmas
wishes. This first card was created by John Calcott Horsely for Sir Henry Cole.
But it was in 1860 in Boston, Massachusetts where the greeting card started being produced in color by Mr. Louis Prand a German Littographe who immigrated to the United States three years earlier. In the late 1800’s the greeting card was used primarily to express our good wishes in the Holiday season and New Year’s. Then gradually we found greeting cards
for berthas, wadings, births, deaths and any other occasion to express what one feels about an event.
We’ve all received a greeting card to mark our anniversaire. Greeting cards
now offer the chance to write our own text. All parents have received at one time or another a greeting card made by the small hands of their children. What’s more touching than to receive a greeting card made by our little ones.
Finally the greeting card is the universal solution when we want to share some feeling about someone who is dear to us. A greeting card can express what our heart feels. We always say that the greeting card is more important than the gift that usually accompanies.
Instead, offer a greeting card that expresses your feelings instead of an impersonal gift that does not necessarily mean much.
